Child Support Commission Reports and Economic Study
Georgia’s Child Support Guidelines Statute, O.C.G.A. § 19-6-15, is based on the Income Shares model and effective January 1, 2007. The Georgia Child Support Commission is responsible for conducting a comprehensive review of the child support guidelines and table every four years (O.C.G.A. § 19-6-15, 42 U.S.C. 667, and 45 C.F.R. 302.56), and is charged with certifying the appropriateness and effectiveness of the state’s guidelines. The reports provided below represent the studies conducted by the Commission beginning in the year 2006 through 2018. The next study will be conducted in the year 2022.
